First I would like to state that I don't hate tupac I just don't think he is the best and certainly not my favorite don't get me wrong his music is good but here are some reasons why I don't like him.
1. He is not real about his past
If you do research on him and look into his past you see that he did ballet I mean there's nothing wrong with that but isn't that weird for a "thug" to do.
2. We really only look at the impact he left on hip hop
I give him props for the emotion in his songs but the lyrics aren't all that good he is a mediocre lyricist his flows never changed and his rhymes were repetitive.
3. He is a persona
This relates to number 1 but he went to a school of performing arts and he did not live in the projects (I'm not saying you have to but that's were most great artists come from) he simply made people think he was real.
4. Golden era
He was there in the golden era when people bought anything labeled "Hip-hop".
5. Martyr
He is not a "martyr" he is just another rapper that died to violence if big died before him then big would be considered a "martyr".
6. Fitting in
A lot of people now a days don't listen to him but still think he is the best just so they are not bought out and criticized.
7. Beef
Tupac's career started off of beef and that should not get you anywhere in the game.
I would like to end this on two more things.
1. I am not a lil Wayne fan I listen to real people like immortal technique.
2. I respect the revolution he bought to hip-hop
